For thirteen weeks you study with a cohort of women — reading the lineage, making the medicine, receiving your attunement — and the whole time, underneath all of it, you are building one thing: a burlesque performance ritual devoted to the most powerful version of yourself.

Then we go to Costa Rica. Six days. Yoga, burlesque activation, reiki, herbalism in the morning, adventure and rest in the afternoon, sisterhood all day. And on the final night, at the Devotion Ceremony, you perform the ritual you spent thirteen weeks becoming.

We meet weekly online from December to March, then we gather in San Jose, Costa Rica for our immersion March 5th - March 10th.

You will not leave the same woman who applied.

Everything in Rites of Devotion feeds one act.

Over thirteen weeks, you will train in herbal aphrodisiacs, get attuned to Reiki I, and undergo feminine devotion study! At the center of this experience you will create a burlesque performance ritual — your own, from nothing — as an act of devotion to your most powerful self. This is a ritual you build from your own body, your own story, your own yes, rather than from choreography or a routine to copy.

Here is why burlesque, and why ritual.

Burlesque is the art of the reveal. Layer by layer, on your own terms, at your own pace, you decide what is seen and when. For a woman who has spent years managing how much of herself the world is allowed to have, that is not entertainment. That is medicine. The stage becomes the one place where the reveal is entirely hers.

Ritual is what turns a performance into a rite. When you build it with intention — when every piece and every step and every pause means something to you — the performance stops being about being watched and becomes about being witnessed – declaring who you are.

So the woman you are devoting the ritual to is not any audience. She's you. The most powerful version of you — the one who was never gone, only unheard. You are going to build her a ceremony, rehearse it for thirteen weeks, and then offer your Devotion ceremony in Costa Rica in front of the women who watched you make it. You are building a ceremonial burlesque piece as a reclamation of the most powerful version of yourself, unapologetically.

She has been the whole time. She's the one who reads this page and feels something shift in her chest before you've finished the sentence.

Rites of Devotion is a return to her.

Audre Lorde called the erotic our deepest life force — a power that lives in the body, that was never taught to us as ours, that we were trained to fear in ourselves. She wrote that once we have felt the fullness of that power, we cannot go back to accepting less. That is what erotic excellence means. It is a standard you keep. Erotic excellence is the devotion to the deepest return to yourself and to your power — refusing anything less.

This is the work of rites of devotion: to go as deep into yourself and into your power as you can go — and to stay there.

Feminine Devotion Study is a study of your own inheritance and integration. Every reading is paired with ritual writing and integration practices that turns the text back toward your own life, and every insight feeds the naming of the woman your ritual is for.
You learn ten aphrodisiac herbs — how they work, how to prepare them, and how to work with them as allies in your own erotic life. Not as a cure for anything. As a practice of sourcing your unapologetic erotic essence from the plants that have supported women for centuries.
You will make your own medicine: salves, tinctures, oils, teas, syrups, and whipped body butters. Every herb you study arrives in your ritual kit. By week thirteen you will have a working materia medica in your own hand and an apothecary you built yourself — including the oil you'll wear on stage.
Here is why it matters. A woman can know her power and still not be able to hold it. The nervous system decides how much aliveness we're allowed before it pulls us back to the familiar. Reiki, practiced daily, teaches your body that it is safe to feel more. It regulates. It grounds. It gives your power a body that can carry it into the rest of your life.
Weekly burlesque and sensual movement sessions, taught not as choreography but as practice: the walk, the reveal, the gaze, the tease, the pause. You learn the craft. And you learn it in ceremony — every session opens with ritual and closes with integration, because the goal is not to perform well. The goal is to return to yourself in front of others and not flinch.
We close in the jungle. Yoga, reiki, and burlesque activation each morning to bring the body awake. Herbal medicine, cacao, adventure and rest through the afternoons. Time with your cohort — the women who have watched you become for thirteen weeks and are becoming beside you. Time alone. Time in water.
And on the final night: the Devotion Ceremony. A ritual evening built to hold your performance. Each woman performs the ritual she created. Each woman is witnessed. And then we celebrate — because a woman who has just given herself back to herself deserves a party.
You go home initiated.

We meet online Wednesdays beginning December 9th until March 3rd. Then we have our March immersion March 5th - 10th in our private mansion in San Jose.
For women flying in, you will fly into SJO airport on March 5th. We will be staying in a mansion with shared rooms, different beds. All meals and local ground transportation will be provided. You are responsible for transportation to and from the airport. The mansion details will be shared upon acceptance.
No. Most women arrive with none. The ritual is built from your body as it is — the craft is taught from the beginning, and the point is devotion, not strict technique.
You decide every reveal. Some women perform a full striptease to pasties and a thong; some keep every layer on. What matters is that the ritual is yours and true. Nothing is required.
Good. That's the edge where the return happens. You will have thirteen weeks, a cohort, and a room of witnesses who watched you build it. You will not be alone on that stage even when you are alone on it.
Yes. You receive a full Reiki Level 1 attunement from a Reiki master, with certificate, and daily self-practice guidance throughout the program.
Lodging, meals, ground transportation. Shuttle to and from the airport is NOT included.
YES! Half of the spots are reserved for women who live in the country, and the other half is for visitors. There are two tiers: one for CR locals who do not require housing for the March immersion, and one for visitors.
